A Pick Six carryover of $147,012 will greet players Wednesday at Del Mar when racing resumes following the standard two-day break at the seaside oval.
Sunday’s program saw the exotic wager kick off with two “boxcar” payoffs of $79.80 and $62.00, all but ensuring the six-race bet would be virtually impossible to hit.
Besides the healthy standard pool, there also will be a $31,502 “Jackpot” pool after the Pick Six was emptied out on Pacific Classic Day with its “mandatory” payout arrangements.
The Pick Six races rolled like this Sunday: Race 5 -- #3 Haveiture Way ($79.80); Race 6 -- #2 Six Point Rack ($62); Race 7 -- #5 Classy Tune ($4.60); Race 8 -- #5 Blackjackcat ($19.60); Race 9 -- #10 Zatter ($5.40), and Race 10 – #7 Brooks House ($23.60).
Amazingly, only one ticket was able to pick five winners in the bet. They were rewarded with $31,502 for that.
First post on Wednesday will be 2 p.m.
