Del Mar will begin its 2025 summer racing on Friday, July 18. This will be the iconic seaside track’s 86th summer season since the inaugural one in 1937. 

As it has in all its recent sessions, racing again will be conducted for 31 days with the finish this year coming on Sunday, September 7. 

At its upcoming fall meet, Del Mar for the second year in a row will host the Breeders’ Cup, the fourth time overall the track has been home to the world championship event. The two-day racing extravaganza offering 14 championship races and more than $34 million in purses and awards will be presented on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1.
