The fourth Bing Crosby Fall Season at Del Mar, which features the track’s first hosting of the Breeders’ Cup, opens Wednesday with a nine-race card featuring the $75,000 Let It Ride Stakes.

First post is 12:30 p.m.

A total of 79 horses was entered with eight of them in the Let It Ride, a one-mile turf run for 3-year-olds.

Master Merion, a Kentucky-bred son of Quality Road, comes in on a three-racing winning streak and figures to draw plenty of attention in the Let It Ride. Trained by Wesley Ward, Master Merion notched his first win in his sixth career start in July at Belmont Park. Subsequent wins were accomplished in a Del Mar allowance in August and the $250,000 Franklin-Simpson Stakes at Kentucky Downs in September.

Two Bing Crosby season racing days will precede the Breeders’ Cup on Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4. Breeders’ Cup fields will be finalized and post positions drawn on Monday.
