Gabbay Closes Strong to Win $85,000 Pacific Classic Betting Challenge

Nisan Gabbay of Del Mar, CA rallied late with a $4,900 win bet on last race winner Conclude to blast into the lead finishing with a final bankroll of $29,890. Joe Vida of Lomita, CA ran a close second also firing off a Conclude win bet of $4,000 and a total of $24,988. 

Gabbay wins $45,500 in cash plus a $10,000 Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge entry, this year held at Del Mar on November 1 & 2.

Mark Evans from Tempe, AZ finished third turning his starting bankroll into $18,200.

Participants started with a $3,000 live money bankroll in the Challenge offering $150,000 in total prizes. The top 12 finishers receive a combination of prizes including six $10,000 Breeders Cup Betting Challenge entries, 2025 National Horseplayers Championship spots and cash. Players competed on-track at Del Mar or online through TVG.com.

Del Mar’s signature handicapping contest is presented by Yammava’ Resort and Casino at San Manuel.
