Cuddle Alert, a 14-1 longshot ridden by Agapito Delgadillo, won the featured seventh race Thursday to key a $252,572 Pick Six carryover into Friday’s eight-race program which begins at 4 p.m.
Cuddle Alert, owned by Leopoldo Urbina and trainer Reed Saldana, took command in deep stretch and held off the late challenge of even-money favored Noted and Quoted to score by a length and one-quarter in 1:16.75 for the six and one-half furlongs. Avicii was third and Run for Retts fourth in the field of six fillies mares.
Cuddle Alert returned $30.20, $7.80 and $3.20. Noted and Quoted paid $3.40 and $2.40, while Avicii returned $2.60 to show.
In addition to the Pick Six carryover, the Super Jackpot single ticket carryover increased to $136,518. Friday’s Pick Six will be conducted on the third through eighth races.
