On an afternoon of boxcar payoffs, one very savvy and/or very lucky gambler rang the bell for a $119,107 payoff in the Pick Six Sunday as Del Mar closed out its first week of the summer.

And just like the single ticket $240,346 Pick Six payoff hit on Friday, the Sunday ticket was also sold through the New York Racing Association. Sunday’s ticket was purchased for $2,880.

The six-race sequence started out with the longest price of the meet when Kentan Road captured a turf sprint and paid a whopping $150.00.  The subsequent payoffs weren’t that large, but they were a long way from short. (5th Race) Swing Thoughts $7.00; (6th Race) Double Touch $60.80; (7th Race) Mother Mother $3.20; (8th Race) Catapult $44.00; and (9th Race) If You Like It ($6.00).
