The Racetrack Chaplaincy of America, the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club and the Breeders’ Cup are supporting the stable area workers during Breeders’ Cup World Championships week by providing complimentary breakfasts in the Horsemen’s Kitchen.
Sponsored by Red Brand Equine and Agricultural Fencing, “Backstretch Breakfast at Del Mar” benefits the Racetrack Chaplaincy of America, Winner’s Foundation and the California Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Foundation.
“On behalf of the supporting organizations, we are very proud to supply complimentary breakfasts for the backstretch workers, and their families this week,” said Bryan Pettigrew, Breeders Cup Chief Marketing Officer. “We appreciate the time and dedication devoted by the stable community in preparing these horses to run in peak condition every day.”
“The RTCA and our chaplains at 43 tracks across the U.S. are always honored to work with Breeders’ Cup and our partner tracks,” said Dan Waits, Executive Director of RTCA. “The RTCA will be hosting the annual White Horse Awards on Thursday, November 2, honoring three individuals who have done extraordinary acts of kindness towards horses and humans and it would not be possible, if not for the Breeders’ Cup and Del Mar Racetrack.”
