Three-time stakes-winner Run Away, who sustained his lone defeat when third to Bolt d’Oro as the favorite in the Del Mar Futurity last summer, tops a field of six promising two-year-olds in the Grade III $100,000 Bob Hope Stakes Saturday at Del Mar.

Run Away, a son of Run Away and Hide owned by Kaleem Shah and trained by Simon Callaghan, reeled off three straight victories, including the Santa Anita Juvenile and Best Pal, before his show performance behind Bolt d’Oro in the Del Mar Futurity, bowing by five and one-half lengths as the 5-2 favorite. Subsequently, he rebounded to win the Barretts Juvenile at Los Alamitos. Regular rider Flavien Prat again has the call.

Leading the opposition will be Beautiful Shot, unbeaten in two starts including a triumph in the Speakeasy at Santa Anita. Kent Desormeaux will be aboard the son of Trappe Shot. Other entrants in the line-up are the maiden Greyvitos, Victor Espinoza; Mourinho, Drayden Van Dyke; Here is Happy, Joe Talamo, and Italiano, Mike Smith.

Post time for the first of nine races Saturday is 12:30 p.m.
