Sneaking Out, beaten a nose by Hollywood Hills as the 1-10 favorite in the Fleet Treat Stakes, will attempt to atone for that upset Friday when she faces nine California-bred filly and mare rivals in the featured $150,000 Solana Beach Stakes at Del Mar. Post time for the first of eight races is 4 p.m.

A model of consistency, Sneaking Out has never been worse than second in seven career races. The daughter of Indian Evening, who will have Mike Smith in the saddle, is a two-time stakes winner, taking the Evening Jewel and Angel Flight at Santa Anita for trainer Keith Desormeaux. She was runner-up to My Majestic Rose in the Grade II Summer Oaks.

Sneaking Out is expected to duel for favoritism in the one-mile grass event with Pulpit Rider, who will have Drayden Van Dyke in the saddle. Stakes-placed several times in her career, the four-year-old filly by Lucky Pulpit was fourth in the Possibly Perfect most recently.

Others in the Solana Beach field are Mo See Cal, Flavien Prat; Coco Kisses, Ruben Fuentes; Battleground State, Tiago Pereira; Don’t Sell, Mario Gutierrez; Fiery Lady, Martin Garcia; Donut Girl, Abel Cedillo; Lynne’s Legacy, Rafael Bejarano, and A Walk in the Park, Norberto Arroyo, Jr.
