Ten lightly-raced but talented California-bred two-year-old fillies will be spotlighted Wednesday at Del Mar in the featured $100,000 Generous Portion Stakes at six furlongs.
Certain to attract support is Show It N Moe It, who will have apprentice Evin Roman in the saddle in pursuit of her second stakes success of the summer season, having won the C.T.B.A. Stakes early in August.
Coming into the Generous Portion Stakes off victories are five fillies – Little Doe, a Santa Rosa stakes-winner who will have Catalino Martinez aboard; Hold That Smile, Martin Pedroza; One Fast Broad, Corey Nakatani; Spiced Perfection, Joe Talamo, and Clean Living, Chantal Sutherland.
Completing the field are Sharona Sunset, a maiden after two races to be ridden by Saul Arias; Family Girl, fourth in the C.T.B.A. with Kent Desormeaux to ride; the C.T.B.A. fifth, Empress of Lov, to be piloted by Tyler Baze, and the first-time starter, It’s About Alex, Mario Gutierrez.
Post time for the first of eight races is 2 p.m.
